Original Articles: Drug Allergy, Insect Sting Allergy, and Anaphylaxis

Drug allergies, insect sting allergies, and anaphylaxis are severe allergic reactions that pose significant health risks worldwide. Drug allergies occur when the immune system reacts adversely to medications, leading to symptoms ranging from mild rashes to life-threatening anaphylaxis. Common culprits include antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and chemotherapy agents. Insect sting allergies, triggered by the venom of bees, wasps, hornets, or ants, can also result in severe reactions and anaphylaxis, characterized by difficulty breathing, swelling, and a sudden drop in blood pressure.
